The morning check-in is available for both free users and members. Free users will use their finger and phone camera, whereas members can use their band.
What happens during the morning check-in?
During the morning check-in you will rate your sleep, then measure your HR and HRV using your phone's camera or band. You'll then receive a score from 1-5 indicating how stable you are, as well as a breakdown of each factor.
Morning check-in tips
Start the reading on a strong and stable internet connection. If you don't, the reading may not start or complete.
Stay very still throughout the reading and do it in a relaxed and comfortable position.
If using your band: Make sure it has more than 10% battery and that your data has fully synced.
If you see an arrow on the band icon in the top right of your Today page, logging out will finish your data sync and allow you to complete the morning check-in.
If the app says your data cannot be synced, do not continue logging out.
If using your finger: Make sure you have sufficient light. You can use a secondary light, such as a bright lamp, if needed.
Complete the morning check-in at the same time every day to maintain consistency.
Complete your evening check-ins every night, as symptom scores contribute to your baseline and can influence your overall stability score.
Completing the morning check-in
Step 1: Rate your previous night's sleep
This information is used alongside other factors to help generate your Morning Stability score.
Step 2: Measure your HR and HRV
Free users: You'll be asked to hold your finger against your camera and your flash should turn on. You'll see a blue border appear when your finger is in the correct position. Hold it there until the timer runs out.
Members: Your band will switch to HRV mode. As you stay still, the circle will pulse, and you'll see your progress as a percentage as it measures your HR and HRV.
Step 3: Get your morning stability score
Your morning stability score and breakdown of each factor will be displayed on your screen. You can find out more about this on our page on Using the Morning Stability Score
Frequently asked questions
What can I do if my Morning Stability Score gets stuck at 95%?
If your Morning Stability score stops at about 95% and fails to complete, it can indicate an issue with your internet connection or that there was too much movement during the reading. Always start the reading on a strong and stable internet connection. If you're using a WiFi connection, try switching to mobile data or vice versa to see if that helps.
Do I still need to use the camera for my Morning check-in once I have a band?
No. Once your band is link to the Visible app, the Morning check-in will automatically use the band to read your body’s biometrics each morning. You can still choose to use the camera instead if you want. There will be an option to swtich to the camera right before you start your check-in.
What can I do if my band won't switch to HRV mode?
If your band is failing to switch to HRV mode and is unable to start your Morning Stability score reading, try this quick troubleshooting:
Start the reading on a strong and stable internet connection. If you're using a WiFi connection, try switching to mobile data or vice versa to see if that helps.
Check your battery level. If you have less than 10% charge left on your battery, recharge your band before trying again.
Disconnect and reconnect your band in the Visible app. This helps refresh the connection between the band and the app.
