A note before you dive in: This is an invite-only Early Access feature.
Early access features are still being tested and refined. While we continue to improve it, you may occasionally experience bugs or issues. For example, on some days, your band may not capture your overnight data.
You can opt out at any time via the Early Access hub in the Profile tab.
Will switching to overnight mode affect my stability score?
Will switching to overnight mode affect my stability score?
No, the Stability score algorithm is designed to account for the switch from using morning to overnight heart rate and HRV measurements. This means your Stability scores remain consistent and comparable over time, regardless of whether it is calculated using overnight or morning data.
How will I know which heart rate and HRV readings are overnight vs morning?
How will I know which heart rate and HRV readings are overnight vs morning?
Across the app, it will be clear whether you're viewing Overnight HR and Overnight HRV or Morning Resting HR and Morning HRV.
In both the Trends page and in your Health Report PDF, you'll also be able to see all four measurements: Overnight HR, Overnight HRV, Morning Resting HR, and Morning HRV.
Why do I still have to rate my sleep if Visible has my overnight data?
Why do I still have to rate my sleep if Visible has my overnight data?
We need your sleep quality rating to calculate your Stability Score. We're still working on making a high-quality automated sleep tracking more widely available.
My sleep is normally disrupted. Will this work for me?
My sleep is normally disrupted. Will this work for me?
This is an experimental feature, and we're monitoring accuracy across different sleep patterns. The overnight system is designed to be flexible. It averages readings when the band receives a good signal and ignores periods when you're awake or moving.
We encourage you to try overnight mode to see if it works for you, and to share feedback with the team via the in-app feedback form on the Morning Stability score page. You can also opt out at any time if needed.
Why can't I delete my stability score when using overnight mode?
Why can't I delete my stability score when using overnight mode?
With morning measurements, you can delete and retake your score if something interrupts your reading (like a sneeze).
With overnight mode, this is not necessary as the band automatically captures data across hours of sleep and filters out disrupted periods.
Can I take a morning reading if I forget to wear my band overnight?
Can I take a morning reading if I forget to wear my band overnight?
No, you cannot take a morning measurement as backup. If you forget to wear your band overnight, you'll miss getting a Stability score that day.
What happens if my band runs out of battery overnight?
What happens if my band runs out of battery overnight?
If your band runs out of battery overnight, you won't get a Stability Score for that day. Make sure your band has at least 15% charge before bed to avoid this.
Will overnight mode replace morning measurements?
Will overnight mode replace morning measurements?
While overnight mode is in Early Access, it is an opt-in feature only. You can switch back to morning measurements at any time by opting out.
As we roll out overnight mode more widely, we do plan to make it the default for members using Visible Band 2.0. But you'll still be able to turn it off and continue using morning measurements if you prefer.
We'll keep you updated as we learn from testing and share our plans with members as they develop.
