Overview
Visible Band 2.0 charges using a magnetic charging cable. A full charge takes about one hour.
Battery life: Lasts up to five days on a single charge. With proper care, the battery has an expected lifespan of 2-3 years, retaining around 80% of its original capacity after this time.
Charging lights: Four small red LED indicator lights rotate while charging and turn solid red once fully charged.
First-time charging: The red lights may rotate faster than usual when charging is complete.
Charging tips: Always charge for at least one full hour, until the band is fully charged. We recommend recharging when the battery gets to 10%.
Storage: If you won’t be using the band for a while, charge it to about 50% before storing to help preserve battery health.
Charging Visible Band 2.0
How do I charge Visible Band 2.0?
Attach the magnetic end of the charging cable to your band. Plug the other end into a USB charger (ideally a wall plug).
Four rotating red lights show that charging is in progress. A full charge takes around one hour.

How will I know when my band is fully charged?
Always charge your band for at least 1 hour and wait for the red indicator lights to show it is fully charged.
First-time charging
When charging for the first time, the four red indicator lights may rotate faster than usual when charging is complete. This means that the band is fully charged and ready to pair with the Visible app.
Future charges
All four small red indicator lights will stop rotating and become solid red when the band is fully charged.
Note that the Visible app may report 100% battery before the band is fully charged.
How will I know when my band needs to be recharged?
We recommend recharging your band when the battery level is around 10%. The band works best when it has more than 10% charge.
You can find your band’s battery level in the app. Look for the percentage next to the band icon in the top right corner of the Today page. You’ll also get a notification when your battery drops to 20% or below.
Charging tips
Here are some simple everyday charging tips to help keep charging easy and reliable:
1. Keep the charging contacts clean and dry. Before charging, make sure there is no moisture, dust, or dirt on the charging contacts of your sensor or USB cable. The sensor must be dry before charging.
2. Check the connection. Make sure the magnetic charging pins are correctly lined up and snapped into place against the sensor.
3. Use a wall plug. A wall outlet gives a stronger, more reliable power supply than a computer or laptop USB port.
4. Recharge at 10%. Don't wait until the battery is empty to recharge. Recharging at around 10% helps prevent the band from turning off when you need it most and supports long-term battery health.
5. Always charge for at least one hour. The four red indicator lights will rotate when charging is in progress. Once fully charged, after around an hour, the lights will go solid red. If the battery is completely empty, it may take a few minutes for charging to start.
6. Close the Visible app while charging. Fully close the Visible app while charging. This stops the band from trying to connect, which can interfere with the charging process.
Where can I buy replacement chargers for Visible Band 2.0?
You can buy replacement Polar Charge 2.0 USB-A chargers from the Visible Shop. Go to Profile > Visible Shop in the Visible app for more information.
Caring for your battery
What is the expected lifespan of the Visible Band 2.0 battery?
The band uses a rechargeable battery that, when properly cared for, has an average lifespan of 2-3 years, retaining around 80% of its original capacity after this time. The actual lifespan of the battery, however, will depend on how the band is charged and cared for.
Battery care and lifespan tips
Here are some simple tips to help keep your battery healthy and last longer:
1. Keep the sensor clean and dry
Clean the sensor with lukewarm water and mild soap only, and make sure it is thoroughly dry before wearing or charging. This prevents the buildup of dirt or debris that could affect charging over time.
2. Don't leave the battery fully charged or discharged for too long
Keeping the battery charge between around 10% and 90% puts less strain on the battery. We recommend recharging at around 10% and unplugging soon after it reaches full charge to help maintain battery health.
3. Charge your band safely
Do not charge the band if the sensor is wet or near flammable materials or surfaces. The band should also not be charged or worn in extreme temperatures, below +14 °F/ -10 °C or above +120 °F/ +50 °C. Exposure to extreme heat, cold, or direct sunlight can damage the battery and reduce overall function.
4. Store your band with at least 50% charge
Even when your band isn’t in use, the battery still slowly loses charge over time. To help keep your band's battery healthy and ready for use, charge the band to around 50% before storing. If you won't use it for a while, recharge it about once a month. This helps prevent it from draining completely.
⬆️ Remember to always store your band with the sensor face up to prevent false heart rate readings. See Understanding how the sensor works for more information.
Troubleshooting
Visible Band 2.0 not charging
If your band isn't charging as expected, for example, you place it on the charger and it's unresponsive, or you don’t see the red rotating lights that indicate charging status, we recommend the following troubleshooting:
Step 1: Check the basics
Check the charging connection: Make sure the magnetic charging pins are properly aligned and have snapped into place against the sensor. If needed, flip the band and connect it the other way around.
Try another wall plug: For a stronger and more consistent power supply, always plug the charger into a wall plug instead of a USB port on a computer or laptop. Try a few different plugs in case one is faulty.
Force close the Visible app. Close the Visible app while charging to prevent connection attempts.
Step 2: Restart your band
If your band still won't charge, try a quick restart. Don't worry, restarting your band won't erase any heart rate data.
To restart your band:
Force-close the Visible app on your phone.
Unplug the band from the charger.
Press the reset button on your band (located on the top side, under the strap) using a pen or pin.
Hold the button for 1–2 seconds, then release. The lights should turn back on.
After restarting your band, reconnect the charger and put the band back on charge for an hour. If the battery is completely empty, it may take several minutes for charging to start.
⚠️ Warning: Do not connect your band to a charger while restarting your band as this will perform a factory reset on your band.

Visible Band 2.0 battery draining too quickly
If your band battery is depleting much faster than expected, there are steps you can take to improve battery performance.
Step 1: Update your firmware
In the Visible app, go to Profile > About > Troubleshooting > Band firmware update and, if available, follow the prompts to update. Keeping your firmware up to date is key to ensuring optimal battery performance.
Step 2: Perform an in-app factory reset
Once your firmware is up-to-date, in the Visible app, go to Profile > About > Troubleshooting > Band factory reset and follow the instructions to reset your band.
Step 3: Fully charge your band
After the reset, charge your band for at least one hour. Make sure the red LED lights turn solid red to indicate a full charge, and always close the Visible app while charging.
Step 4: Monitor battery performance
Keep an eye on your battery over the next few days. If you're still having problems with battery drainage after trying the steps above, our Member Support team can help.
