We’re thrilled to hear you’re interested in gifting a Visible membership. You can easily gift a Visible membership by following the steps below.
How to gift a Visible membership
Step 1: Visit the Visible website
Go to makevisible.com.
On the homepage, select Get started (top right).
Select the option to buy a Visible membership as a gift.
Step 2: Choose your gift
Select either an annual or a two-year gift membership and a Visible Starter Kit, including Visible Band 2.0. It's not possible to gift a monthly membership or accessories.
Enter the gift recipient's name and email address. We'll use this to send their welcome email and membership activation link.
Pick a date for the welcome email to be sent. This can be any date within 30 days of purchase. The recipient will have 30 days after receiving this email to activate their membership.
Add an optional gift message.
Step 3: Complete checkout
Enter your own name and email address. We’ll use this to send your payment confirmation, a backup membership activation link, and shipping updates.
Confirm your order. Review your gift choice and proceed to checkout.
Enter your billing and shipping details to complete your purchase.
We'll send you an email straight after checkout to confirm your order. Subject line "Your Visible Order is Confirmed".
Note: You may choose to ship Visible Band 2.0 directly to the gift recipient by using their shipping address at checkout. Estimated shipping times for the band are displayed during checkout.
Step 4: Wait for delivery
The Starter Kit will be shipped to the address provided at checkout.
Step 5: Present your gift
Once the Visible Starter Kit arrives, you can give your gift in person.
The recipient will receive a welcome email on the scheduled date with a link to download the Visible app and activate their membership.
Activating a gift membership
The recipient can activate their gift membership by downloading the Visible app and using the activation link in their welcome email:
Welcome email subject line: "Here's your Visible Gift Membership"
Open the email and tap the Activate membership button to complete activation
After activating, their membership will be linked to their Visible account.
We recommend they wait until their Visible Band 2.0 arrives before they activate their membership. The membership will start on whichever date happens first:
the day the membership is activated, or
30 days after the welcome email is scheduled to be sent.
Gift membership renewals
Gift memberships do not renew automatically. When the membership is close to ending, the recipient will get an email asking if they want to renew. If they do, they can purchase a new membership using their own payment details.

Frequently asked questions
Can I include a personal message with the gift?
Absolutely! When buying a gift membership, you can add an optional personal message. It will be included in the welcome email sent to the recipient.
Will the Visible Band 2.0 and the welcome email arrive on the same day?
No. The Visible Starter Kit and the welcome email are sent separately. The Starter Kit ships as soon as your order is ready and is delivered to the address you provide at checkout. Estimated shipping times are displayed during checkout. The welcome email, on the other hand, is sent to the gift recipient on the date you pick.
Can I gift just one month of membership?
Gift memberships are only available as one-year or two-year plans. Monthly memberships are available for personal use, but we don’t offer a monthly gift membership option.
Can I gift a Visible Band 2.0 without a membership?
No, all gifts include a membership and Visible Starter Kit, including Visible Band 2.0.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
No, we do not offer gift wrapping. The Visible Starter Kit, which includes the Visible Band 2.0, comes in a Visible-branded box that fits through most standard mailboxes.
Can I use a refer-a-friend link when buying a gift membership?
No, referral discounts can not be applied to gift memberships.
Can I buy multiple gifts?
You can only buy one gift per checkout. You will need to complete separate checkouts if, for example, you want to buy multiple gifts or a membership for yourself and someone else.
Will the person who gifted me a membership have access to my Visible data?
No, once you activate the gift membership, it’s linked to your personal Visible account, which only you can access using your own login details.
How can I activate my gift membership if I didn't get a welcome email?
If you did not get a welcome email, for example, because an incorrect email address was entered at checkout, you can still easily activate your gift membership.
The order confirmation email also includes an activation link. Ask the person who bought the gift to forward that email, or just the activation link, to you. Use the link to activate your gift membership and link it to your Visible account.
This also works if the membership was bought for you without using the gifting option.
