How do I activate my Visible membership?

Linking your membership to your Visible account

Overview

  • When you buy a membership on the Visible website, you need to link it to a Visible app account before you can use it.

  • Make sure you've downloaded the Visible app and created an account.

  • Use the link in your order confirmation or welcome email (gift membership) to activate your membership.

  • Once activated, you’ll see the Connect your band button on the Today page.


Activation

When you purchase a Visible membership on our website, you need to activate it to link it to your Visible app account. Once activated, you can start using your new membership features.

How do I activate my membership?

Step 1: Find your order confirmation email

We send you an email right after you place your order with the subject line "Activate your Visible membership". This email confirms your purchase and explains how to link your membership to your Visible account. When you look for this email, please make sure to check both your inbox and spam or junk folders.

Step 2: Link your membership

Once you've found your order confirmation email, open the email on your phone or computer and tap the Link my membership button:

📬 While payment is made upfront, your membership officially starts on the day you receive your band in the post. Activating your membership doesn't impact the start date.

Step 3: Download the Visible app and create an account

If you don't have the Visible app on your phone yet, the link will help you download the app from the App or Google Play Store. You'll then need to create a Visible account to get started.

Step 4: Connect your band

After activation, you’ll see a Connect your band button at the top of the Today page in the app:

You may need to force quit and reopen the app for the display to update after activation.

How do I activate my gift membership?

When someone gifts you a Visible gift membership, we send you a welcome email to help you get started. Look for an email with the subject line "Here's your Visible Gift Membership". This email contains everything you need to link your gift membership to your Visible account. Make sure to check both your inbox and your spam or junk folders.

Once you’ve found the email, open it on your phone and tap the Activate membership button:

🎁 Gift memberships start when you activate your membership. You have up to 30 days from the day the welcome email is sent to activate your gift, so you can do it at a time that works best for you.

Need help activating?

If you need any help activating your membership, for example, you don't have access to the order confirmation email, please contact Member Support for assistance. It's helpful to include your full name and the email address used to sign up for the membership when you message.


Frequently asked questions

Why can't I connect my band or see my membership in the app?

If you still see an option to purchase a membership, or don’t see the Connect my band button at the top of the Today page, your membership likely isn’t activated yet. Follow the steps in How to activate your membership to link your membership to your Visible account.

If you’ve completed the steps and still can’t connect your band or see your membership, contact Member Support for help.

I bought a membership for someone else. How do they activate it?

If you've purchased a gift membership for someone, they will receive a welcome email directly from Visible. This email includes an Activate membership button they can tap to link the gift membership to their Visible account.

Otherwise, if you've bought a membership for someone else, just forward your order confirmation email to them. They can then tap the Link my membership activation link in the email to connect it to their Visible account.
