Thank you for helping us test early versions of Visible! Beta versions let you try new features before everyone else, and your feedback helps us catch problems early.
A few things to know before you start:
Beta versions may be less stable than the regular app. You might notice occasional bugs, and some data may be less accurate than usual.
Your data stays safe - the beta uses the same account and syncs the same way as the regular app.
You can stop testing at any time (instructions at the end of this article).
Step 1 - Register inside the Visible app
Open Visible and go to Profile.
Tap Early Access Hub.
Open Beta testing and tap I understand, continue.
Confirm your Google Play email. We fill in your Visible email - if the Play Store on your phone uses a different Google account, enter that email instead. To check it, open the Play Store and tap your profile picture in the top right.
Tap Register for Beta Testing Program.
Important: the email must be the Google account you use in the Play Store on your phone. It can take a little while before Google Play recognizes your email - if the page in the next step says the program isn't available for your account yet, try again later.
Step 2 - Become a tester in Google Play
In the app, tap Open Google Play testing page, or open this link: play.google.com/apps/testing/com.makevisible.visible
Sign in with the same Google account if asked.
Tap Become a tester.
Before moving to the next step you may need to wait a few minutes for the change to reach Google Play.
Step 3 - Update the app
On the confirmation page you will see a link to the Play Store under Download test app.
Tap download it on Google Play - you'll be redirected to the Play Store.
Tap Update. It can take a few minutes after joining before the beta update appears - if you can't see the button now, check again in a few hours.
Once updated, you're on the beta. Open Visible as usual.
New beta versions arrive as normal app updates in the Play Store.
Sending feedback
Use the feedback options inside the Visible app as usual - you can attach screenshots. Bug reports from beta versions are especially valuable to us. Please send feedback to us directly rather than through Play Store reviews, as feedback there doesn't reach us reliably.
How to stop testing
Open Visible and go to Profile.
Tap Early Access Hub.
Open Beta testing, tap Stop testing and confirm.
You'll go back to the regular version of Visible automatically the next time we release an update to everyone. Google Play can take a little while to apply the change.
To go back to the regular version sooner:
Log out of the Visible app to make sure your data is synced with our servers.
Uninstall Visible and reinstall it from the Play Store: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.makevisible.visible. If the Play Store installs the beta again, Google Play hasn't caught up yet - try again later.
Log in to the Visible app again.
Your account and data are not affected, and you can rejoin at any time.
