How do heart rate-altering medications affect heart rate zones, and how should they be adjusted?
Heart rate–altering medications, such as beta blockers, can impact your heart rate and how your body responds to physical activity.
Some medications reduce your resting heart rate and can impact how you use Visible.

Other medications can increase your resting heart rate.
Tasks that previously were in the Rest zone may now place you into the Activity or Exertion zone.
As a result, you might generate PacePoints even when at complete rest.
How to find the right heart rate zones for you
Give your body time to get used to the medication.
You want to let your heart rate stabilize, and give yourself enough data to look at.
Tag activities. This provides you with a visual representation of what zone you are in during different activities.
If your heart rate is altered due to medication, you may need to lower or raise your Exertion and Activity zones so that your activities match your perceived level of exertion.

Adjusting your PacePoints budget
Once you have adjusted your heart rate zones, you might notice you are using more or fewer PacePoints than you did previously. Depending on where your budget was set originally, you might need to adjust this to be realistic for your level of activity.
You will want multiple days of data with the new heart rate zones to understand how these impact your PacePoints. You can then adjust your budget to a realistic number for you.
