A newer way to get your Stability Score on Visible Band 2.0
From app version 26.9.3 (rolling out from the end of September 2026), if you have a Visible Band 2.0, the default way to get your Stability Score is from overnight data.
Wear your Visible Band 2.0 to bed each night. When you wake for the day, rate your sleep, and your Stability Score will be ready. No need to take a morning measurement.
For more information, see Getting your Stability from overnight data.
The Morning Check-in is available for free users, Polar Verity Sense members, and Visible Band 2.0 members who prefer not to wear their band overnight.
Free users use their finger and phone camera to measure their heart rate (HR) and heart rate variability (HRV), whereas members use their band to take a reading.
We recommend completing the Morning Check-in at the same time every day to maintain consistency.
Stability using Morning Check-in
You'll get your Stability Score by taking your body's data each morning if you:
Use the Visible app without a membership
Have a Polar Verity Sense band
Have a Visible Band 2.0 but are unable to wear your band overnight
If you have a Visible Band 2.0, to switch to using morning readings in the app:
Go to Profile → Stability
Tap on Take a morning reading
What happens during the Morning Check-in?
To complete the Morning Check-in, you will rate your sleep, then measure your heart rate and heart rate variability (HRV) using your phone's camera or band to calculate your Stability Score.
You'll then receive a Stability Score from 1-5 indicating how stable you are, as well as a breakdown of each factor.
Once you've completed your Morning Check-in, you'll find it on the Today page, under Morning Check-in
Completing the Morning Check-in
Step 1: Rate your previous night's sleep
Your sleep information, along with your previous Evening Check-in symptom scores, is used to generate your Stability Score.
Step 2: Measure your morning HR and HRV
Free users: You'll be asked to hold your finger against your camera, and your flash should turn on. You'll see a blue border appear when your finger is in the correct position. Hold it there until the timer runs out.
Members: Your band will switch to HRV mode. As you stay still, the circle will pulse, and you'll see your progress as a percentage as it measures your HR and HRV.
💡 For tips on how to take a successful morning reading, see Taking consistent morning measurements.
Step 3: Get your Stability Score
Your Stability Score and breakdown of each factor will be displayed on your screen. You can find out more about this on our page on Understanding your Stability Score.
Do I still need to use the camera for my Morning Check-in once I have a band?
Do I still need to use the camera for my Morning Check-in once I have a band?
No. Once your band is linked to the Visible app, the Morning Check-in will automatically use the band to read your body’s biometrics each morning. You will no longer be able to use your finger for the Morning Check-in.
