Overview
This is for you if you have Visible Band 2.0
Wear your band to bed, then complete your Morning Check-in by simply rating your sleep.
The app will gather last night's data from your band automatically to calculate your Stability Score.
This is the best option if you can wear your band to bed overnight consistently – you won’t receive a Stability score on the nights you don’t wear your band.
If you have Visible Band 2.0, and can wear your band overnight, make sure your preferences are set up to use overnight data. Find out more about checking or changing your Stability preferences.
To get your Stability Score from overnight data
Before you go to bed, make sure your Visible Band 2.0 has at least 15% battery so there is enough charge to last until morning.
Wear the band overnight. Make sure it fits comfortably, but snugly on your wrist
Complete your Morning Check-in by rating your sleep on the Today page – that’s it. Visible will calculate your Stability Score automatically using your overnight data and the previous Evening Check-in, if you completed one.
If you forget to wear your band to bed
If you get your Stability Score from overnight data and forget to wear your band to bed, you will not receive a Stability Score that day. There is no option to take a morning reading instead.
This is because your average is built on the data gathered either overnight or in the morning. It’s not possible to accurately switch between the two.
If you have insomnia or disrupted sleep
Sleep issues are common for people with complex chronic illness. Stability calculates your overnight measurements by averaging readings taken overnight and ignores periods when you’re awake or moving.
If your sleep is heavily disrupted, we still recommend getting your Stability Score using overnight data and seeing how it works for you.
If your scores feel like they are matching your experience, then Visible is likely gathering enough relevant data from your band overnight.
If your scores are not matching your experience, then switching to morning readings may be the best option for you. Find out more about checking or changing your Stability preferences.
If you prefer to sleep without your band or cannot commit to wearing it consistently
Overnight data is the most reliable option for getting your Stability Score with Visible Band 2.0. However, if you prefer to sleep without your band or you cannot commit to wearing it every night, it’s better to take morning readings.

Why you might see "Stability Score unavailable"
Stability needs overnight data to calculate your score. If your band doesn't record enough data while you sleep, you'll see a "Stability Score unavailable" message instead.
This can happen if:
your band didn’t have enough battery to record overnight data
you forgot to wear your band overnight, or chose not to wear it
there was a technical glitch, and we were unable to get enough overnight data from your band to calculate your score.
To help avoid this happening again, make sure your band has at least 15% charge before you go to sleep, and that you're wearing it snugly on your wrist or arm while you sleep.
Common questions
Why am I getting a "Band connection error" message?
Why am I getting a "Band connection error" message?
Your band needs a strong connection to your phone to get your overnight data and calculate your Stability Score. If you see the error message "Band connection error," keep your band close to your phone and tap Try again. You can retry as many times as you need.
If you continue to get a band connection error, try our Visible Band 2.0 connectivity troubleshooting.
What happens if my band runs out of battery overnight?
What happens if my band runs out of battery overnight?
If your band runs out of battery overnight, you won't get a Stability Score for that day. Make sure your band has at least 15% charge before bed to avoid this.
Can I retake my Stability Score when using overnight data?
Can I retake my Stability Score when using overnight data?
No, when you get your Stability Score using overnight data, you can't delete or retake your Stability Score. The band automatically captures data across hours of sleep and filters out disrupted periods, so retaking isn't necessary.
This is different from morning measurements, where if something interrupts your reading (like a sneeze), you have the option to redo your reading.
Why do I still have to rate my sleep if Visible has my overnight data?
Why do I still have to rate my sleep if Visible has my overnight data?
We need your sleep quality rating to calculate your Stability Score, even if you are testing Early Access Sleep tracking.
Sleep tracking is only available in Early Access. We're still working on making high-quality automated sleep tracking more widely available.
