Overview
While the Activity Monitor is running, you can check your PacePoints and timer without opening the Visible app
On iPhone, it appears as a Live Activity on your Lock Screen
On Android, it appears in a notification or asa Live Update on some phones
After the first minute, you can tap Stop to save your activity
The Visible app needs to stay running in the background, so don't swipe it away
What you see can vary between phones, but the information is the same. Read about using the Activity Monitor.
Your activity, PacePoints and timer show at a glance
Your activity appears outside the app as soon as you start tracking it from the Heart Rate page. You'll see:
the activity you tagged
your PacePoints for the activity so far
a timer showing how long is left, or how long you've been going
a Stop button, which appears after the first minute
Tap anywhere else on the Live Activity or notification to open the Activity Monitor in the Visible app.
End your activity from your Lock Screen or notifications
When you’re done, tap Stop on your Live Activity or notification. If your phone is locked, you’ll be asked to unlock it first. The Visible app then opens and adds your activity as an Activity Tag on your heart rate chart.
Stop appears after the first minute, as activities need to last at least 1 minute to be saved. To end an activity sooner, open the Visible app and tap Discard.
Keep the Visible app running in the background
You don't need to keep the Activity Monitor on your screen. You can use other apps, lock your phone or put it in your pocket.
If you swipe the Visible app away to close it fully, your activity ends. If it lasted at least 1 minute, it’s saved and appears on your heart rate chart.
On iPhone, your activity shows as a Live Activity
Live Activities need iOS 17 or later.
Your activity appears:
on your Lock Screen
in StandBy, when your iPhone is charging on its side
in the Dynamic Island at the top of your screen, on iPhones that have one
Turn on Live Activities in your iPhone settings
Follow these steps to turn on Live Activities for Visible:
Open your phone's Settings.
Tap Apps, then find and tap Visible.
Turn on Live Activities.
On Android, your activity shows in a notification
Every Android phone that runs Visible shows your activity in a notification.
On Android 17 or later, the notification can become a Live Update. It stays pinned at the top of your notifications, and the timer appears in the status bar at the top of your screen.
Not every phone maker supports Live Updates yet. If yours doesn't, you'll see a standard notification with the same information.
Allow Visible to send notifications
The first time you start an activity, Visible asks to send you notifications. Tap Allow to see your activity outside the app.
If you didn't allow them, follow these steps. The steps may look different depending on your phone:
Open your phone's Settings.
Tap Apps, then find and tap Visible.
Tap Notifications and turn them on.
If you see a Live Updates option, turn that on too.
Let Visible run in the background on Android
Some Android phones limit apps running in the background to save battery. This can stop your PacePoints from updating.
Follow these steps to let Visible run in the background:
Open your phone’s Settings.
Tap Apps, then find and tap Visible.
Tap Battery or Battery Saver.
Depending on your phone, select Unrestricted or No restrictions, or turn battery optimization off.
Update the app or contact Member Support
Make sure you have the latest version of the Visible app. If you’ve checked your settings and still can’t see your activity, contact our Member Support team. You can message us from the Profile page in the Visible app.
